Smoking Costs

The following calculator will show you the cost of smoking cigarettes.  This is only in terms of the actual purchase cost of cigarettes and doesn’t take any costs associated with the consequences of smoking into account.

The default for the calculations is currently based upon an average habit of 1 pack of cigarettes per day at an average price per pack of $25 per pack as at October 2016.

As we know, cigarette pricing is constantly increasing so the savings to be gained by becoming a non-smoker may be even more than this calculator suggests over time.

How to use the smoking costs calculator

The calculator is set to default settings which will provide an expected estimate of costs of smoking which would be savings when you become a non-smoker.

You are able to enter 3 values which relate specifically to your own smoking habit to determine costs/savings that would apply to you.

Once you press the Calculate button it will calculate your smoking costs should you remain a smoker which will also be an estimate of your savings once you become a non-smoker.

The Reset button will return the calculator to the default settings.
